This is a full-time, on-site role supporting Murdock Companies, located in Wichita, KS. The Counter Sales team brings excellent product knowledge and outstanding customer service to our customers. The team plays a vital role in supporting the company's goals and objectives by ensuring exceptional satisfaction to our customers. Counter Sales team members are responsible for taking care of walk-in customers with industrial supplies from bearings, belts, motors, and more. This position is also responsible for assisting with shipping and receiving, and inventory cycle counts and making hose in our hose shop. This role will also be responsible for learning how to cut and crimp hose for customers while they wait.

Qualifications

• Prior sales experience preferred, but not required; training will be provided
• Excellent customer service skills, including ability to build relationships with customers
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as a team member
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Mechanical skillset/background is a requirement.
• Industrial and distribution products knowledge a plus
• Prior experience cutting and crimpling hydraulic hose is a plus.
