Food Runner

Job Summary:The Food Runner is responsible for assisting the Kitchen and Food Servers with food service, proper set-up, and maintenance of functioning spaces, as well as serving guests and keeping the side stations clean and well stocked.Essential Job Functions:Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly serviceEnsures all service stations in the kitchen are stocked and ready for serviceRemoves soiled dishes from table; brings to dish washing areaCompletes set up and teardown of banquet and dining events as assignedSets tables with silverware, glassware, and other itemsRemoves soiled linen and restocks work area with clean linensStocks servers’ station with suppliesRestocks bus station continually with ice, coffee, teas, and other suppliesInform a manager and or server if guests have any issues when food is deliveredAny other tasks or duties assignedQualifications:Ability to keep area clean and organizedAbility to maintain composure and stay focusedAbility to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work as a team, stay organized, handle various tasks at one timeMust be able to effectively understand and convey written and verbal information to guests and coworkersMust possess a service orientation – actively looking for ways to help othersProfessional presentation and positive attitudeAbility to be flexible and to perform multiple tasks effectivelyFriendly, open disposition and professional presentationMust have excellent knowledge of dining room and service procedures and functionsMust be self-motivated and customer service orientedOpen availability; must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidaysPhysical Requirements:Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time. In some instances, the entire shiftIntermittent periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computerAble to lift at least but not limited to 50 pounds and if more must be with assistanceRead and visually verify information in a variety of formats (e.g., small print)Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines (e.g., to identify defects)Ability to move quickly turning from left to right or right to leftReach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stoopingAbility to be mobile in walk-in refrigerator and freezer with temperatures ranging from 40° F to -10° FEducation and Required Experience:High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)Minimum 2 years runner experienceThe LEV Restaurant Group was founded in 2002 as a vehicle to inspire, create, develop and operate world class experiences for food & beverage concepts in the Restaurant Industry.
