About This Role
Join our team as a Part-Time Classroom Teacher Assistant and play a vital role in supporting the educational and personal growth of our young students. This rewarding position requires a caring and energetic individual who can provide a safe and engaging environment for children aged newborn to 6 years old. You will work closely with the Classroom Teacher to deliver lesson plans and activities, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for all. If you're passionate about early childhood education and enjoy working with children, we encourage you to apply.
What You'll DoAssist children with daily needs, such as potty training, cleaning, activities, comforting, and mealtime support. Work collaboratively with the Classroom Teacher to maintain a well-organized and efficient classroom environment. Follow lesson plans and engage in activities that promote learning and development. Communicate effectively with parents and maintain accurate records of student progress. Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on best practices. Be prepared to adapt to changing needs and priorities.
Requirements- Must be willing to complete a CARI Background Check and Fingerprints.
- Must be willing to provide proof of Physical & TB Test Results.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Associate Degree in Early Childhood or CDA preferred, but not required (must have a High School Diploma at a minimum).
Pediatric First-Aid Certification is highly desirable; we are willing to support your certification if you're not already certified. Knowledge of GROW NJ requirements and Creative Curriculum are also valued in this role.
