Step into a rewarding role supporting students in a dynamic school environment for the upcoming academic year. This temporary contract position spans from as soon as possible through December 10, 2026, with opportunities to make a real difference in both elementary and middle school settings. Working alongside educators, you'll engage one-on-one with students, many with behavioral needs and some on the autism spectrum, allowing you to have a positive, lasting impact.
The workweek generally follows a Monday through Friday schedule, with some partial days, affording flexibility as schedules are finalized. Openings are available for elementary (2-3 positions) and for one middle school role, giving you the chance to apply your passion where it fits best.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required, plus a minimum of 48 hours of college-level coursework.
- At least two years of prior experience as a paraprofessional in a school setting.
- A background working with students exhibiting behavioral challenges and/or autism spectrum disorders preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills to foster positive, supportive relationships with students and staff.
- Adaptability and a collaborative attitude to succeed in varied classroom environments.
Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized support to assigned students, aiding in academic, behavioral, and social growth.
- Collaborate closely with teachers and specialists to implement educational and behavioral strategies.
- Foster an inclusive, respectful classroom setting that champions student development.
- Manage and respond to unique needs as schedules and caseloads evolve.
