Nick & Mike Bar and Grill is seeking an experienced, dependable AM Bartender / FOH Shift Lead to lead our morning front-of-house operations.

This is a dual-role position combining bartending responsibilities with shift-lead duties . This position is specifically for the morning shift and may require you to open and operate the bar independently until additional staff arrive.

Because this position is responsible for opening the bar, dependability, punctuality, and the ability to work independently are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Arrive on time and ensure the bar and FOH are ready for opening
• Complete opening procedures and checklists
• Stock and prepare the bar for daily service
• Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to company recipes
• Provide friendly, attentive, and professional guest service
• Accurately handle cash, credit cards, and POS transactions
• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar
• Act as the FOH Shift Lead/manager-on-duty when assigned
• Direct FOH staff and assist with sections, breaks, side work, and service flow
• Monitor guest satisfaction and address concerns within approved guidelines
• Communicate effectively with the kitchen and management
• Follow and enforce alcohol-service, sanitation, safety, and company policies
• Maintain productivity and service standards when working independently

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Previous bartending experience required
• 1–2 years of restaurant/FOH experience preferred
• Leadership, shift-lead, or training experience preferred
• Must be dependable and consistently punctual
• Must be comfortable opening and working alone when necessary
• Strong communication, multitasking, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to remain professional and organized in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs.

Schedule

AM/Morning Shift Only

Candidates must have reliable morning availability and be able to report to work on time for scheduled opening shifts. Weekend and holiday morning availability may be required.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who doesn't need constant supervision to get the job done. The right person will take ownership of the morning shift, lead by example, keep the bar clean and ready for service, provide excellent guest service, and step into a leadership role when other FOH employees are working.
