Overview
Respiratory Therapist (Registered Respiratory Therapist) – travel assignment in Burlington, Vermont, United States. Start date: 09/07/2026. Duration: 13–16 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,241–$2,353 per week. Guaranteed hours: none. Shift: 3x12 Nights. Setting: hospital environment with inpatient units. This is a travel - temporary assignment designed for RRTs to cover NICU, PICU, adult ICU, and adult/pediatric general units on a teaching hospital team.

- Teaching hospital experience required; Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years

Responsibilities
- Provide bedside respiratory care to neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients, including ventilated and non-ventilated units
- Administer prescribed therapies (airway clearance, inhaled meds, humidification, nebulized treatments) and monitor patient response
- Manage and wean patients from mechanical ventilation as appropriate; adjust therapy based on clinical status
- Perform patient assessments, monitor vital signs and airway status, and document care in the EMR system
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and adjust care plans
- Ensure safety and infection control practices, respond to changes in patient condition, and participate in on-call protocols as indicated by assignment

Requirements
- Active Respiratory Therapist credential (RRT); CRT not accepted
- Minimum 1 year of RT experience; prior travel experience preferred
- BLS, ACLS, PALS required; NBRC Verification and NRP certifications preferred/required per assignment notes
- Teaching hospital experience required
- Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years is required
