Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with experience across NICU, PICU, Adult ICU, and general pediatric and adult units for a 4-week night shift contract at an academic teaching hospital in Burlington, VT.

Details

• Inpatient respiratory therapy position at an academic teaching hospital
• Patient population spans NICU, PICU, Adult ICU, and adult and pediatric general units
• 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 36 hours per week
• Monday through Sunday scheduling with no block schedules
• Weekend work required as needed
• No on-call or charge responsibilities
• No floating required
• Epic EMR used; recent experience is required

Requirements

• RRT credential required; CRT will not be accepted
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience required
• Experience across NICU, PICU, Adult ICU, and adult and pediatric general units required
• Teaching hospital experience required
• Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years required
• Two professional references required from a Nurse Manager and/or Supervisor — at least one from within the past 6 months and one from within the past year of employment
• License required if applicable
• A personal or rental vehicle is strongly recommended, as public transportation is not accessible in this area

Additional Information

• Prior travel experience is preferred but not required — first-time travelers will be considered
• All specialties worked must be thoroughly documented within each individual employment entry in work history
• All work history must include facility bed count, EMR, and facility type
• Employment gaps of more than 90 days must be explained
• Local candidates are accepted; pay rates are tiered based on distance from the facility — travel (101+ miles), radius (51–100 miles), and local (50 miles or less)
• SSN and DOB are required for consideration
• Schedule flexibility is a must
