Position Summary

The Purchasing / Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing procurement, receiving, inventory control, and material distribution to ensure uninterrupted production operations. This role ensures materials are sourced, stored, and delivered efficiently while maintaining food safety, quality standards, and cost control. The Supervisor also leads warehouse staff and drives continuous improvement in inventory and purchasing processes.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Procurement & Inventory Management: Process POs, manage vendor relationships/pricing, and maintain accurate inventory records via cycle counts and physical inventories.
• Warehouse Operations & Logistics: Oversee receiving, lot tracking, and material handling. Ensure strict FIFO rotation, JIT material delivery, and equipment maintenance.
• Leadership & Collaboration: Supervise, train, and develop warehouse staff. Partner daily with QA, Production, and Accounting to ensure transparency and resolve operational issues proactively.
• Quality, Safety & Continuous Improvement: Enforce food safety and regulatory compliance (FSMA, GMP, HACCP, FSSC 22000). Manage COAs and drive cost-reduction and process optimization initiatives.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education & Experience: Associate’s degree (or equivalent) with 3+ years of warehouse supervision and purchasing experience.
• Technical Skills: ERP system experience (DAX preferred), proficient in MS Office, and deep knowledge of food safety regulations.
• Core Competencies: Strong leadership, negotiation, analytical problem-solving, and communication skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Preferred Certifications: HACCP and PCQI.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• Blended office and warehouse environment with moderate noise.
• Requires occasional standing, walking, and lifting (up to 50 lbs).
• Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
