Is responsible for the maintenance troubleshooting repair and reliability of heat-treating equipment and associated production systems used in industrial manufacturing environments. This role ensures equipment operates safely efficiently and within required temperature and process specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair mechanical electrical hydraulic and pneumatic equipment failures.
• Troubleshoot and maintain heat-treating furnaces ovens burners drives motors pumps and gearboxes.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on production and heat-treatment equipment.
• Inspect calibrate and maintain temperature-control instrumentation and sensors.
• Verify proper operation of safety systems alarms and interlocks.
• Repair or replace defective mechanical and electrical components.
• Interpret technical manuals schematics blueprints and wiring diagrams.
• Maintain gas burner systems and combustion-related equipment.
• Perform equipment inspections to identify and prevent potential failures.
• Support production by responding to equipment breakdowns in a timely manner.
• Document maintenance activities repairs and inspection results.
• Follow all plant safety procedures environmental regulations and maintenance standards.
• Assist with equipment installations upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability and uptime.
• Perform additional maintenance duties as assigned.

Skills:

• Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical electrical hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Knowledge of industrial maintenance best practices.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and technical drawings.
• Experience with control instrumentation sensors and calibration procedures.
• Understanding of combustion systems gas burners and heat-treatment processes.
• Familiarity with lockout/tagout (LOTO) and industrial safety procedures.
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.
• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic abilities.

Experience:

• Typically 2 to 5 years of industrial maintenance experience .
• Prior experience maintaining heat-treating equipment industrial furnaces ovens or heavy manufacturing machinery preferred.
• Experience troubleshooting mechanical electrical hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED required.

• Technical school vocational training or certification in:

  • Industrial Maintenance
  • Electrical Systems
  • Mechatronics
  • Instrumentation
  • Metallurgy
  • Mechanical Technology
