Accounts Payable Specialist

*\\*This is an onsite position. Must relocate to Amarillo, Texas\\***Summary:*The Accounts Payable Specialist serves as an integral part of the Finance team by managing the Accounts Payable process for a busy retail/c-store environment. This position is responsible for completing all accounts payable functions to ensure that vendors are paid timely and according to Company policies._*Supervisory Responsibilities:*_* None*Essential Duties & Responsibilities:** Receive and log invoices in preparation for payment, ensuring proper approvals and documentation are included.* Prepare and process weekly check runs.* Manage credit card reconciliation monthly.* Maintain accurate documentation for all invoices and reconcile purchase orders to invoices received.* Post invoices ensuring proper coding in the Finance system.* Protect the Company against unintentional overpayment.* Practice effective monitoring to ensure payments are made to vendors in a timely manner.* Investigate and resolve outstanding creditor items.* Respond to payment inquiries from vendor partners and internal team members.* Support and facilitate organizational changes, continuous improvement, and communication.* Establish and foster relationships with management and all team members that will enable the Finance function to be viewed as an integral part of the business.* Embody personal leadership qualities through the following: Be in the moment to ensure authentic and humanistic interactions. Must be able to speak, read, write & understand the English language. Requires the ability to complete clerical and analytical tasks, function under stress, memorize information and make independent decisions.* Vision Requirements: General vision requirements including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.* Movement Requirements: Able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities. Able to grasp and utilize manual dexterity including hand/finger coordination.
