Resource Specialist

Role Description

Help connect people to critical services across Washington State. As a Resource Specialist, you’ll play a vital behind-the-scenes role—keeping our statewide database of community resources accurate, accessible, and up to date so our teams can connect people to essential services like housing, food, healthcare, and more. • Maintain and update a comprehensive database of health and human services resources
• Write and edit clear, accurate service listings using standardized guidelines
• Ensure data quality by reviewing taxonomy, formatting, and completeness
• Collaborate with agencies across Washington to verify and update information
• Identify opportunities to improve database structure, searchability, and processes
• Partner with your team to support a high-quality, mission-driven service environment

Qualifications

• Experience working with databases and managing structured data
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills (testing required)
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in written work
• Clear and professional written communication skills
• Ability to manage tasks independently in a fast-paced setting
• Commitment to equity, inclusion, and respectful collaboration

Requirements

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (occasional flexibility required)
• Location: Remote
• Pay: $27.33 per hour
• Status: Full-time, non-exempt (37.5 hours/week)
• Union: Represented by OPEIU Local 8
