IV/Infusion Pharmacy TechnicianAn experienced IV/Infusion Pharmacy Technician is needed to support home infusion services in a growing healthcare system renowned for its extensive hospital network and infusion sites. This role offers an opportunity to work with a respected organization expanding its home infusion care, with a focus on delivering high-quality sterile compounding services under pharmacist supervision.Location: Chesapeake, VAJob Type: Contract to HireSchedule: Monday - Friday, Day ShiftStart Date: ASAPDuration: 13 weeksKey ResponsibilitiesPrepare IVs, TPNs, and other sterile compounded medications following strict quality assurance and legal protocolsCollaborate closely with licensed pharmacists to ensure accuracy and safety in all compounded productsTrain new staff members as needed to maintain high standards across the teamEngage in clinical initiatives aimed at optimizing patient outcomes in the home infusion service linePerform additional sterile compounding and pharmacy technician tasks as assignedQualifications / Desired ExperienceMinimum of 2 years of hands-on IV/infusion pharmacy technician experience, including TPNs and antibiotic preparationsExperience in a home infusion setting is strongly preferred; inpatient IV experience will also be consideredValid Virginia Pharmacy Technician licenseNational Pharmacy Technician Certification requiredProficiency with EPIC pharmacy systems or similar electronic health record platformsThis contract-to-hire position is ideal for a skilled IV/Infusion Pharmacy Technician with a passion for patient-centered care in a home infusion environment.
