Associate Attorney - General Liability Defense

A nationally recognized litigation firm is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its General Liability Defense Practice Group in Houston, TX. Position Associate Attorney – General Liability Defense Location Houston, TX Schedule Hybrid Compensation Base salary up to $190,000 plus bonus opportunities Responsibilities Manage an assigned caseload with partner oversight and mentorship Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other legal documents Conduct legal research and assist with case strategy development Take and defend depositions Attend hearings, mediations, and court appearances Assist with trial preparation and litigation proceedings Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and vendors Manage discovery deadlines and case documentation Qualifications Active Texas Bar license required 2+ years of civil litigation experience on the defense side Experience handling discovery, depositions, and motion practice Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills Excellent communication, organization, and time-management abilities Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities effectively Professional, proactive, and team-oriented approach Compensation & Benefits Base salary up to $190,000 Bonus opportunities and business origination credit Hybrid work flexibility 401(k) with firm match Medical, dental, and vision insurance Short-term and long-term disability coverage Life insurance Paid time off and parental leave HSA and FSA options Professional development support HOUGW34 #J-18808-Ljbffr Burnett Staffing Specialists
