A leading healthcare organization is seeking a skilled Pharmacist to join their team in a remote, temp-to-hire capacity. This role offers a unique opportunity to work from anywhere in the U.S., provided you hold an active pharmacist license in your state. The position supports Medicare Part B drug prior authorization and appeals, requiring strong clinical expertise and utilization management experience.

Location: Remote
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 12:00 PM–8:30 PM EST
Weekend & holiday rotation: Mandatory
Contract Duration: 10/01/2026 – 03/31/2027 (6 months)
Day off only granted in emergencies between 01/01/2027 and 03/31/2027

Key Responsibilities:

• Review Part B drug and biologic prior authorization requests and appeals with clinical accuracy
• Apply clinical policies, utilization management criteria, and Medicare requirements to authorization decisions
• Collaborate with internal clinical and non-clinical teams to provide guidance on Part B drug policies and workflows
• Identify opportunities for improving review quality, accuracy, and operational efficiency
• Adapt swiftly to a fast-paced environment with evolving workflows and changing business needs
• Maintain high-quality performance and productivity while managing shifting priorities and volumes

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• PharmD degree with active pharmacist licensure in at least one U.S. state
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in utilization management, managed care residency, or specialty pharmacy
• Proven ability to exercise strong clinical judgment when evaluating complex Part B drug requests
• Experience specifically with Part B drug prior authorization and appeals is highly preferred
• Prior experience in utilization management and prior authorization processes is strongly desired
