Registered Nurse (RN) - Charge Acute Care

Emergency Department Registered Nurse

Schedule: All contracts must run through holiday season - end date flexible. Shifts: 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am, 36 hours/week.

Assignment Details: Contract Weeks: 27

Requirements:

• Current RN Licensure
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and Stroke Certification (AHA or RQI)
• One year of acute hospital experience as a registered professional nurse

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality, compassionate care to patients and families in the Emergency Department.
• Assess patient needs, prioritize care based on urgency, and deliver direct nursing interventions.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to identify critical health concerns and document any deviations from the norm.
• Maintain effective communication with patients and families, addressing comfort needs and providing updates on care.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure the best possible patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up care requirements.
