At Winbro, we are at the heart of the green hydrogen revolution enabling production of next generation fuel cells with our ultra fast laser drilling and welding technologies. Our technology is capable of producing highly complex micro parts to micron level accuracies, creating a revolution in personalised drug delivery and medical care. Our equipment can produce highly complex semiconductor parts, enabling next level efficiencies in electronics manufacturing. The Buyer is responsible for sourcing and purchasing goods, materials, or services for Winbro Group Technologies. They negotiate prices, evaluate supplier reliability, and manage inventory levels to ensure the business operates smoothly, cost-effectively, and without supply disruptions. Daily role and responsibilities Process production materials through all steps of the supply chain, both internally in our machining facility and externally at sub-contract suppliers. Co-ordinate supplier schedules and ensure completion on time, to plan. Provide updates to the programme lead on potential issues with production orders. Support daily reviews. Liaise with Engineering, Production and Quality departments regarding progress and issues. Project-based materials ownership. Provide accurate costing information and specifications from suppliers. Supply chain development. Identify, evaluate, and select supplies based on quality, price, and reliability. Negotiate prices, terms and conditions to obtain the best quality supply and commercial agreement with suppliers. Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues (delivery, quality, compliance). Develop and maintain high quality trading relationships with suppliers and secure favourable pricing. Review purchase requisitions, issue purchase orders, and track deliveries to ensure timely arrival. As needed, expedite orders or deliveries to meet project requirements. Deliver quantifiable cost saving results without compromising quality. Work with BOMs and update internal work orders. Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities. We are looking for a talented Buyer with previous experience (2+ years) gained within an aerospace and/or manufacturing environment. You will have a Bachelors degree in a Buying or Engineering related discipline. You will have a strong understanding of purchasing techniques demonstrated through negotiation and managing the supply base. Experience of sourcing complex machined components would be a perfect fit. We require US Citizenship or an existing Green Card holder due to our customer facilities access requirements. Pay Salaried position - competitive.
