OTR Dry van Company driver (W-2) Job in Glen Burnie, MD by HMD Trucking

Requirements
- 1 year of CDL-A OTR experience
- No DUI/DWI in the last 5 years
- No more than 3 moving violations or 3 preventable accidents
- No excessive speeding (over 21 mph) in the last 3 years
- Must be above 23 years old at the time of applying

- Empty Miles: Paid at the same CPM as loaded miles
- Detention Pay: $25 per hour after the first 2 hours
- Layover Pay: $175 for every 24 hours
- Orientation Pay: $150
Operate long-haul dry van freight nationwide while joining HMD’s driver-focused OTR team in Glen Burnie, MD. Run consistent interstate lanes, manage pickups and on-time deliveries, and keep clear communication with dispatch. HMD supplies modern tractors (under 3 years) equipped with APUs, inverters and sleepers, plus reliable in-house maintenance, pay starting at 65¢/mi (avg ~2,500 mi/wk) and safety/inspection/referral bonuses.
Your Responsibilities:
- Safely operate assigned tractor-trailer on long-haul routes and follow federal HOS and ELD protocols.
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate trip records.
- Work with dispatch to optimize routing and delivery timing.
Qualifications:
- Valid CDL-A and a minimum of 12 months verifiable OTR experience.
- Professional attitude and strong safety focus.
