About the Role:

As a Server, you will play a crucial role in delivering an exceptional dining experience to our guests by providing attentive, friendly, and efficient service. Your primary objective is to ensure customer satisfaction by accurately taking orders, serving food and beverages, and addressing any guest needs or concerns promptly. You will collaborate closely with kitchen and bar staff to coordinate timely and accurate delivery of orders. This role requires maintaining a clean and organized work environment while adhering to all health and safety regulations. Ultimately, your efforts will contribute to creating a welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat visits and positive reviews.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a customer service or food service role preferred but not required.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with guests and team members.
• Basic math skills for handling transactions.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during shifts.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality environment.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems.
• Strong multitasking and organizational skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and seat guests in a courteous and professional manner.
• Present menus, explain daily specials, and answer questions regarding menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them into the point-of-sale system.
• Serve food and drinks promptly while ensuring order accuracy and presentation standards.
• Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction and address any issues or special requests.
• Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to coordinate order timing and delivery.
• Handle guest payments and provide accurate change or process electronic transactions.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining and service areas throughout the shift.
• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe dining environment.

Skills:

Effective communication skills are essential for interacting with guests to take orders accurately and respond to their needs, ensuring a positive dining experience. Attention to detail is used daily to verify order accuracy and maintain cleanliness standards. Multitasking skills enable you to manage multiple tables and coordinate with kitchen staff efficiently during busy periods. Basic math and cash handling skills are applied when processing payments and providing change. Additionally, teamwork and adaptability are important as you collaborate with colleagues to maintain smooth service flow and accommodate varying guest requests.
