Copy - Shift Manager

This job posting is for a position in a restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee and not McDonald’s USA. This franchisee holds a license to use McDonald’s logos and food products, but is a separate company and employer. The franchisee is responsible for all employment matters, including hiring, firing, discipline, supervision, staffing, and scheduling. Responsibilities Managers lead shifts every week, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, friendly experience. A Shift Manager provides leadership to crew and other managers during a shift to maintain quality, service, and cleanliness. Shift Managers perform tasks such as: Planning for each shift Monitoring performance during the shift Taking action to meet company standards Monitoring safety, security, and profitability Communicating with the next Shift Manager to prepare for a smooth transition Meeting shift targets and helping departments meet their goals Core Responsibilities Food Safety Internal Communication Inventory Management Daily Maintenance and Cleanliness Managing Crew Quality Food Production Exceptional Customer Service Safety and Security Scheduling Training Qualifications Previous leadership experience is preferred, ideally within a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment. Candidates should be positive team players with a flexible schedule, a passion for a fast‑paced environment, and must be 18 years or older.
