Automation Engineer

Automation EngineerReporting to the Facilities & Maintenance Manager, the Automation Engineer will focus on PLC programming and robotic programming, automated controls & integration, and equipment troubleshooting & repairs. This role requires a hands-on approach to ensure seamless operation and continuous improvement of production systems, process support, and equipment reliability. The Engineer will have a high focus on training maintenance staff, helping develop training material for troubleshooting and preventive maintenance, and creating SOPs.What You'll Do:Troubleshooting control circuits, including PLC, motor controls, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.Maintain, repair, and perform preventive and predictive maintenance on all types of production equipment, including metal stamping, rubber molding, packaging equipment, and automation systems.Ability to develop training materials and conduct hands-on training sessions of automated systems.Preferred knowledge of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).Work with manufacturing and engineering to resolve downtime, training, and continuous improvements.Implement continuous improvements and upgrades to existing equipment and work cells.Your Role in Our ValuesAt Enpro, our values of Safety, Excellence, and Respect guide how we work, collaborate, and grow.
