Global Transportation Export, Planner

Becton Dickinson seeks a Global Transportation Export Planner to manage export shipments and logistics operations across assigned regions. The role oversees daily export execution, coordinates with supply chain partners, optimizes transportation efficiency, and ensures regulatory compliance for medical device shipments.

Responsibilities

• Manage and execute timely export shipments from distribution centers for assigned regions
• Coordinate with business units, regions, and carriers to optimize transit duration and identify process improvements
• Communicate proactively with customers and planners regarding order status, availability, and regulatory compliance
• Plan, coordinate, and optimize deliveries using SAP and transportation management systems; troubleshoot EDI issues
• Monitor key performance indicators, resolve shipment discrepancies, mitigate risks, and provide training to new representatives

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in related discipline or equivalent international/export experience
• Minimum 6 years' experience in export, logistics, transportation, or customer service roles
• Minimum 6 years' hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP, ECC, GTS, JDE) and transportation management systems
• Prior experience in FDA-regulated industries such as medical device or pharmaceutical
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and EDI transactions
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated attention to detail
• Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks, and meet deadlines
