ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Identify, evaluate, and build relationships with suppliers to ensure a reliable and cost-effective supply chain for aerospace materials and components.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the company's objectives, ensuring the availability of high-quality materials and services while managing costs.
• Create and manage purchase orders, requisitions, solicit bid proposals, track order status, and resolve any discrepancies related to pricing, quantity, or delivery.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, terms, and conditions with suppliers, ensuring that best-in-class pricing is achieved while maintaining quality standards.
• Work closely with the inventory and production teams to ensure the timely delivery of materials, managing stock levels to avoid shortages or excess inventory.
• Ensure that purchased materials and components meet all necessary quality standards and industry certifications, coordinating with the quality control team as needed.
• Support the creation and management of purchase agreements, ensuring compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., production, engineering, quality) to ensure materials are available for manufacturing processes, meeting production deadlines.
• Continuously monitor supplier performance and market trends to identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and risk mitigation.
• Ensure that procurement activities comply with aerospace industry regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
• Maintain accurate and organized records of all procurement activities, including purchase orders, contracts, and supplier communications. Provide regular reports on procurement performance and inventory levels.

REQUIRED RESPONSIBLITIES:

• Strong written and verbal communications skills.  Must be able to converse with a diverse technical customer base and collect & disseminate data clearly and concisely. 
• Ability to multi-task and work with minimal supervision 
• Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (green card holder) or other status as a U.S. Person)

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or equivalent 
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in procurement, preferably within the manufacturing environment 
• Understanding of industry standards, materials, and ISO certifications (e.g., AS9100, FAR, DFARS). Preferred.
• Proficient in procurement software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and MS Office Suite.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Ability to analyze and interpret data to make informed procurement decisions.
• Knowledge of cost management and budgeting processes.
• Experience monitoring inventory levels  
• Ability to read, speak and write in English
