Position and Salary The Attorney General’s Office is recruiting for a permanent full‑time Paralegal 2 Supervisor in the Antitrust Division located in Seattle, Washington. This position is represented by the Washington Federation of State Employees (WFSE). Paralegal 2 (Range55) salary range: $61,644 – $82,872. The base pay offered will consider internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate’s relevant experience. Incumbents assigned to the Seattle office receive an additional 5% King County Location Pay stipend. Effective July1,2025, Paralegal2s working in King County receive GroupC Assignment Pay: 5% of base pay. Duties and Essential Functions The Paralegal2 Supervisor manages the division’s team of Paralegal1s and Legal Assistants, providing advanced legal professional support on the administrative aspects of cases. Supervise and train Paralegal1s and legal assistants in the division. Act as the division’s power user of its Case Management System; oversee training and develop business rules for best practices. Assist attorneys with preparing, serving, and filing pleadings, motions, briefs, and other court documents. Provide clerical support on cases, including proofreading and editing legal documents. Prepare and organize case files. Use case‑management systems to track status of cases, parties, deadlines, significant events, and documents. Update status of cases by obtaining due dates from court documents, rules, and critical dates. Support legal teams with administrative tasks such as arranging travel, processing case‑related expenses, acquiring court reporters/process servers, processing incoming mail, and managing records, archiving, and filing. Qualifications Combination of four years of experience through: Paralegal certification. Two‑year paralegal degree. Paralegal Plus (or nine‑month paralegal, post‑BA) certification. Paraprofessional experience in support of an attorney. OR one year experience as a Paralegal1 in Washington State Service. The most successful candidate will have knowledge of federal and state local rules for civil proceedings.
