Recreation Worker (Part-time)

Recreation Worker (Part-time) Department: Health Classification: Non-Exempt | Category: Essential Duties and Responsibilities Greet members and guests and direct them to appropriate area Answer phones and handle facility information requirements Maintain cleanliness of front desk and surrounding areas Interact with members and guests Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills Demonstrate critical thinking skills and resourcefulness when handling problems that may occur Report complaints and enforce rules with guests Be able to multi-task during high traffic operating hours Sell merchandise, memberships Communicate effectively with staff, members and guests Be a team player Maintain confidentiality Provide comfortable and inviting experience for members and guests Willing to work various hours including weekends, and special events Provide tours of the facility as requested Gym supervision Fitness equipment orientations Set up/tear down activities as determined Recreation Coordinator Assist with various programmatic activities Assist with Youth Program operations including but not limited to direct supervision of youth, assisting with various programming, and being a positive role model Assist with drop-in daycare as assigned by supervisor Ongoing cleaning of facility and wiping down equipment Other duties as assigned Requirements High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) required. Prefer two years of work experience with one year in customer service Customer service, organizational, and time management skills Must respect Meskwaki cultural beliefs. Must be knowledgeable and proficient in PC word processing, Excel spreadsheet, Internet and email Prefer cash handling experience Must be able to meet and communicate with the public Must submit to and successfully complete background investigation.
