As a Registered Nurse in the Stepdown Unit, you will gain hands-on experience with a diverse cardiac, surgical, renal, and complex respiratory patient population. Schedule:

• 12-hour day shifts
• Required to work every other weekend and major holidays

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough patient assessments and make informed decisions in care planning and delivery
• Administer medications safely and manage advanced cardiac drips, insulin drips, and BiPAP
• Serve as a clinical liaison with patient families and care teams
• Utilize specialized equipment, including Alaris pumps, GlucoStabilizer, and cardiac monitors
• Respond confidently to multisystem organ failure and rapidly changing conditions
• Foster a safe, supportive environment, acting as a patient advocate

Qualifications:

• Current RN license (State or compact)
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience; stepdown or acute care preferred
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required
• Proficiency with EKG interpretation (assessment required at orientation)
• Experience with lab draws and familiarity with bedside cardiac monitoring
• Strong communication, teamwork, and resilience skills
