Principal Financial Analyst

Job Summary Under the direction of the Finance Manager — Commercial Strategy, the Finance Analyst generates and analyzes financial information for the company. Key responsibilities include: Analyze, report, and present production variances such as price variance, material variance, scrap discrepancies, labor/burden spend, and volume variances. Partner with Operations, customer teams, and HR to develop PowerBI reports for business understanding, monthly reporting, forecasting, and ad-hoc requests. Provide analysis and explanation of financial results. Monitor and report financial performance, explaining variances to budgets, forecasts, and prior year data. Prepare and present consolidated reports to management as appropriate. Assist in automating reports, analysis, and other synergies in PowerBI and Excel. Track sales performance, providing detailed analysis of variances. Prepare and analyze quarterly revenue recognition calculations. Gather data in IFS, SAP, or JDE as required. Support the development of FY standard costs. Assist PLM and commercial teams with pricing new products, NBO opportunities, or pricing changes due to tariff or cost changes. Assist the Director of Finance and management on projects. Perform additional duties as assigned. Education and Experience Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, 8+ years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Effective presentation skills and ability to respond to questions from managers or others in the organization. Proficiency in mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Skill in applying fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to solve practical problems and handle a variety of variables with limited standardization. Preferred Skills and Abilities Advanced PowerBI report writing. Strong analytical skills including Excel proficiency and data interpretation. Effective organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills at all levels. Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and lead others through continuous improvement activities. Salary $107,000 to $145,000 annually. The base pay range is a general guideline and is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including internal equity, business considerations, local market conditions, and candidate qualifications.
