Description This is a full-time, on-site, individual-contributor Media Sales Representative role. This is a hands‑on inside sales position, not a management or leadership role — you will report to the SVP, Media Sales and carry your own personal sales targets. You'll work from a defined, existing list of Dallas Market Center exhibitors and tenants — every account you contact already does business with us. Your job is to reach out by phone and email each day, understand what each exhibitor is trying to achieve at market, and sell them the advertising, digital, and sponsorship placements that will help drive traffic to their booth. This is a warm, relationship‑based selling role built around a captive customer base — not cold outbound prospecting into unknown companies. Day‑to‑Day, You Will: Make daily outbound calls and emails to a defined list of current exhibitors and advertisers to present media and sponsorship opportunities. Present pre‑built media packages (print, digital, and sponsorship) and adjust recommendations based on each client's booth and marketing goals. Prepare proposals and close sales within your assigned account list, from initial conversation through renewal. Collect client‑supplied artwork, media designs, and other business collateral needed for purchased advertising placements, and collect advertising sales dollars from clients to ensure timely production and payment. Build relationships with tenants and exhibitors, and meet with them in person during Markets to discuss additional advertising and business needs. Log all activity, opportunities, and client notes in the CRM daily. Hit weekly and monthly sales activity and revenue targets. Coordinate with the marketing and events team to make sure sold campaigns run correctly and on time. Provide responsive follow‑up and support to keep renewal rates high. What This Role Is Not: To help you self‑select: this is not a sales leadership, team management, or new‑market‑development role. There is no team to manage and no requirement to build a book from scratch through cold prospecting — your account list is provided and already engaged with Dallas Market Center. Qualifications 2+ years of sales experience — inside sales, phone/email-based sales, or account management preferred. Advertising or media sales experience is a plus but not required. Ability to develop and maintain strong business relationships both in person and over the phone — this role includes face‑to‑face relationship building with tenants and exhibitors during Markets, not just phone/email‑based inside sales Comfortable with high call/email volume and daily activity targets; this role rewards consistent outreach, not big‑picture strategy. Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to build quick rapport over the phone and in email. Solid customer service instincts — responsive, organized, and able to manage a defined book of ongoing client relationships. Basic familiarity with digital advertising and social media concepts. Proficiency with CRM tools (entering and tracking activity daily) and Microsoft Office.
