Physical Therapist - Travel Contract

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
• Active Louisiana Physical Therapy license required to start the assignment.
• BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
• Experience in outpatient physical therapy settings preferred.
• Familiarity with EMR systems; experience with Practice Perfect preferred.
• Ability to supervise and collaborate with rehabilitation technicians and oversee plan of care.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in team-oriented clinics that emphasize clinical reasoning and innovative care models.
• Comfort managing a patient load that typically averages two patients per hour with approximately 30 minutes spent per patient.
• Interest or experience integrating mental health considerations into physical rehabilitation.

Assignment Details

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
• Patient appointments begin at 8:00 AM.
• Lunch at 1:00 PM. Clinicians leave at 5:00 PM.
• Typical patient flow: approximately two patients per hour; PTs rotate between patients while assigned techs assist under supervision.
