Occupational Therapist - Travel Contract

Make a meaningful difference as a travel OT in Lake Charles, LA. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to help patients with injuries, illnesses, or disabilities regain or improve daily skills while working in an outpatient setting. The clinic is family-owned and family-run, established for over 30 years, and emphasizes a collaborative, team-oriented approach that values problem-solving, innovation, and the mind-body connection.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited educational program.
• Active Louisiana Occupational Therapy license required to start the assignment.
• BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
• Experience in outpatient therapy preferred.
• Familiarity with EMR systems; experience with Practice Perfect is preferred.
• Ability to oversee care and establish plan of care for patients.
• Comfort working in a team-oriented environment and ability to make independent clinical decisions when needed.
• Current resume required to submit application.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with support staff or techs who assist with patient care.
• Experience integrating mental health concepts into physical rehabilitation.
• Previous experience in a small, family-run clinic environment.

Assignment Details

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
• Patients begin at 8:00 AM.
• Lunch at 1:00 PM.
• Typical patient volume approximately two patients per hour, with about 30 minutes spent per patient.
• Each patient is assigned a tech; OTs oversee care and establish plans of care.
