Engineer

Akkodis is seeking an Engineer for a Contract with a client in Blue Ash, OH. The ideal candidate will lead sustaining engineering activities while performing root cause analysis, supporting design changes, and ensuring compliance with FDA, ISO, and IEC standards.


Rate Range: $56/Hour to $60/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.


Engineer Job Responsibilities include:

• Lead sustaining engineering activities for legacy medical device products, including design updates and issue resolution.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for electrical and system issues.
• Support design changes, verification/validation, and ensure compliance with FDA, ISO 13485, and IEC 60601 standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (QA, Manufacturing, RA) to drive product improvements and resolve field issues.
• Maintain and update technical documentation such as schematics, BOMs, and validation reports.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
• 6-8 years of experience in electrical engineering, including at least 3 years in a medical device or regulated industry.
• Strong expertise in analog/digital circuit design, PCB layout, schematics, and hands-on experience with sensors, microcontrollers, and communication interfaces.
• Proven experience with medical device standards (IEC 60601, ISO 13485, FDA QSR) and strong skills in root cause analysis, V&V, and regulatory-compliant documentation.

Pay Details: $56.00 to $60.00 per hour
