Warehouse SelectorLocation: 9300 Sliding Hill Road Ashland, VA 23005Availability Requirement for this role: Morning, afternoon, evening, overnights (includes weekends).Age Requirement: Must be 18 years or olderTime Type: Full timePay Range: $20.50 - $22.50 / hourWorking at Wegmans provides opportunities to grow, flexible scheduling, incredible benefits, and the experience of working for a company with a reputation you can be proud of.Job Description:As a warehouse selector on our distribution team, you'll help deliver exceptional service by accurately and efficiently selecting products for Wegmans stores, using your attention to detail and teamwork skills to ensure success.Work schedule: Overnight positions consist of four 10-hour shifts per weekWhat You'll DoEnsure pallets of product are built safely and efficiently in a manner that minimizes product damage in transportation and maximizes trailer spaceSafely operate equipment necessary to perform job duties; this may include a forklift, pallet jack, and/or VocollectPerform order audits to determine accuracy and qualityMaintain knowledge of all quality standards/specifications and requirements for all productsInform operations management of daily quality issues using reports as well as other forms of necessary communicationMaintain the integrity of the cold chain on loads that have temperature requirementsMay work in and have exposure to cold temperatures; lift weight of 20-25 pounds on average with maximum weight lifted greater than 50 pounds occasionally to frequentlyPreferred ExperiencePrevious experience with operating a pallet jack, forklift, and VocollectNote: Frozen positions earn an extra $2.00 /hourThe health and safety of our employees is our top priority, and we are committed to keeping you safe while you help to serve our communities!Multiple on-campus employee safety committees encouraging a culture of safety and well-beingComprehensive safety training for new employees, delivered by dedicated professional trainers, as well as on-going continuous safety training throughout the yearFree Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
