This role involves developing and implementing individualized nursing care plans while maintaining accurate medical records. Essential Functions

• Assess, plan, implement, and document nursing care plans for patients of all ages, including newborns and children in specialized units.
• Encourage patient independence by setting care goals and involving patients and families in discussions about medical issues, testing, medications, and self-care.
• Monitor patients' physical, mental, and emotional status, reporting changes as needed.
• Provide direct patient care and support as part of the healthcare team.
• Mentor and train new staff and students.
• Adhere to privacy and security regulations concerning Protected Health Information (PHI).
• Demonstrate unit-specific competencies within a reasonable orientation period and ongoing.

Minimum Knowledge and Skills

• Basic nursing principles application.
• Effective communication skills.
• Keyboarding and basic computer proficiency.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize.

Education and Experience

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• BSN strongly preferred.

Licensure and Certification

• Current Registered Nurse licensure in the relevant state.
• Healthcare Provider BLS certification through AHA or ARC within 30 days of start.
