Cardiac Critical Care Nurse
This position delivers specialized cardiac and critical care nursing in a CCU setting, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality, patient-centered outcomes. It supports both experienced nurses and new graduates, fostering growth and mentorship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor, assess, and manage patients with acute cardiac conditions
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and other prescribed treatments
- Operate and interpret cardiac monitoring equipment, telemetry, and critical care devices
- Respond quickly to emergencies and provide life-saving interventions
- Document patient progress and communicate changes to physicians and the team
- Educate patients and families on cardiac care, recovery plans, and preventive measures
- Mentor new graduates with hands-on guidance in the CCU setting
Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kansas
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted
Preferred Skills:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
