Shipping & Receiving Associate

Location: Midwest City, OK
Pay: $15.00 per hour
Job Type: Full-Time

Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our manufacturing and distribution team in Midwest City, OK. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the accurate movement of materials and products throughout the facility. The ideal candidate will be organized, safety-conscious, and capable of working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

Receiving Operations

• Unload inbound shipments and inspect products for damage or discrepancies.
• Verify received items against purchase orders, packing slips, and shipment documentation.
• Report and document shortages, damaged goods, or other receiving issues.
• Enter receiving information accurately into inventory or warehouse management systems.

Shipping Operations

• Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment.
• Verify outgoing orders for accuracy and completeness.
• Package materials according to carrier and customer requirements.
• Complete shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing slips, labels, and manifests.
• Coordinate with carriers to ensure timely pickups and deliveries.

Inventory Management

• Maintain accurate inventory records and stock locations.
• Assist with cycle counts and inventory audits.
• Organize warehouse inventory to support efficient storage and retrieval.
• Process returns, document damages, and restock approved items.

Equipment & Safety

• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment as needed.
• Follow all company safety policies and OSHA guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Communication & Problem Resolution

• Communicate effectively with suppliers, delivery drivers, and internal departments.
• Assist in resolving shipping, receiving, and inventory discrepancies.
• Support warehouse and operations teams to ensure smooth daily workflow.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, logistics, or inventory experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Basic computer skills and experience with inventory systems are a plus.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of shipping documentation and warehouse procedures preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the workday.
• Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Comfortable working in a warehouse and manufacturing environment.
