Position Description:

Transwall Office Systems, Inc., a leading developer and manufacturer of moveable floor-to-ceiling and architectural wall systems, is seeking a skilled Machinist to join our Metal Shop team. The Machinist will set up and operate machining centers to support production operations requiring precise tolerances.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up, program, edit, and operate CNC equipment; perform routine maintenance.
• Operate lift trucks and overhead cranes safely and efficiently.
• Interpret blueprints and specifications to select appropriate materials and fabrication methods.
• Conduct quality checks and report defects to ensure product conformance.

• A flexible, four-day work schedule:
• Monday–Thursday: 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Qualifications:

• 2–7 years of experience in manufacturing, production, or machining
• Proficiency with CNC equipment and machine tools
• Familiarity with hand tools such as drills, grinders, and sanders

Requirements:

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and sketches
• Proficiency with tape measures and calipers for accurate measurement
• Basic math skills, including working with fractions and decimals
• Ability to read, write, and follow basic instructions
• Capable of operating moving machinery

Physical Demands:

• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
