Fleet Manager - Heavy Equipment

347 Group, Inc.

Job Description

We have an immediate opportunity for a Fleet Manager for the San Bernadino County. This individual will oversee vehicle & heavy equipment acquisition and maintenance. The ideal candidate must have proven management and organizational skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Previous experience as a Fleet Supervisor or Manager overseeing vehicle and heavy equipment acquisition in the utility or construction industry
Ability to manage tools, vehicles, and heavy equipment logistics for the department, including procurement, maintenance, and transportation
Coordinate equipment mobilization/demobilization and maintain utilization of equipment
Ability to develop an annual overhead and equipment budget
Develop and maintain relationships with outside vendors and interval customers
Ensure compliance with DOT regulations

Education and Experience:

Excellent organizational and management skills required
Must have computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite software
Strong negotiation skills are required
5 plus years of experience working in the utility/construction fleet-related business required
Must have High School Diploma or equivalent
