English Early Learning Teacher 2026-2027 The Lycée International de Houston, LIH, was established in 2017 by passionate individuals from different cultural backgrounds and founders who recognized the need for a bilingual school in the Houston community. Job Description Lycée International de Houston (LIH) is expanding and seeking a dedicated and nurturing English Childcare Teacher for our childcare Early Learning section serving children 18–24 months. The ideal candidate is energetic, caring, and creative, and embodies excellence, rigor, and kindness. High School Diploma or equivalent with Early Childhood Certification Minimum Five years of experience teaching English in a childcare or early childhood setting Native English proficiency. Spanish a plus Experience in an international and/or independent school setting (preferred) Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills Positive, flexible, and open‑minded approach in a multicultural environment Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds Basic computer skills (email, word processing, educational platforms) Legal authorization to work in the United States Responsibilities Provide nurturing, developmentally‑appropriate instruction in a multicultural early childhood environment Create a safe, engaging, and structured classroom that supports young children’s social, emotional, and language development Plan and implement age‑appropriate lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum Change diapers and assist in potty training.
