Manager, Payroll

As Manager, Payroll at Spectrum, you will manage payroll procedures, oversee documentation and disbursement, and drive system enhancements for hourly and salaried employees. Your expertise will play a critical role in the integrity of payroll records and financial reporting, directly impacting Spectrum’s operational excellence.How You’ll Make an Impact   Oversee the preparation and distribution of hourly and salaried payroll, ensuring timely and accurate paymentsManage payroll system setups, including pay rules in the Time and Attendance application, and handle all earnings, deductions and tax configurationsEnsure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley Act processes, documenting procedures and maintaining payroll recordsMonitor federal, state and local tax withholdings, benefit contributions and deductions from paychecksCoordinate with third-party tax preparers for timely and accurate tax filings and manage inquiries from taxing authoritiesEnsure seamless integration of payroll information with the accounting system and oversee payroll account analysisDirect the preparation and filing of reports to government agencies, organizations and employees, and recommend improvements to payroll methods and proceduresCollaborate with other departments to resolve payroll issues and manage vendor relationships for system changesWorking Conditions   Office environmentWhat You’ll Bring to Spectrum  Required Qualifications  Education  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field, or equivalent experienceExperience   5+ years managing multi-state payroll3+ years management experienceSkills   Ability to analyze and interpret dataAbility to communicate clearly in writing and verbally with all levels of management and company personnelAbility to handle multiple projects and tasks efficientlyAbility to maintain confidentialityAbility to make decisions and solve problems under pressureAbility to prioritize and organize effectivelyAbility to demonstrate judgment and initiative to accomplish job dutiesAbility to supervise and motivate othersAbility to use a personal computer and software applications such as word processing and spreadsheets#LI-JR4 HPY500-HR 2026-81105 2026 Here, our employees don’t just have jobs, they're building careers.
