Sr Manager - Airport Commercial Contracts

Job Overview The Senior Manager, Airport Commercial Contracts will lead the Airport Commercial Contracts vertical within the Strategic Sourcing – Fleet and Operations organization. This role is responsible for managing and adapting the airline’s ground handling footprint, leading negotiations with airport services partners, modeling contract modifications, tracking supplier performance, and maintaining staffing models. The position also requires strong commercial negotiation, long‑range planning, financial analysis, relationship management, and problem‑solving skills, and will interact with senior executive leadership. Responsibilities Serve as the commercial owner and focal point for airport services and ground handling business partner portfolio. Lead contract negotiations, amendments, and performance matters to maintain a high‑performance supplier base. Maintain in‑depth knowledge of major airport operations agreements and analyze impacts of changes in fleet or operating footprint. Build and maintain relationships with supplier personnel and key internal stakeholders. Own and direct financial analysis for contracting decisions, aligning transaction economics to long‑range forecasts. Validate station staffing and monitor adherence to airline standards and performance guidelines. Produce board‑level presentations and other senior management reports. Attend industry conferences, conduct ad‑hoc financial and corporate‑finance projects, and contribute to the budget process. Provide coaching and development for junior team members. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, mathematics, statistics or a related field. 7+ years of experience in contracts, finance or airport services functions, or comparable roles with transferable skills. At least 3 years of supervisory or managerial experience leading cross‑functional teams. Skills & Abilities Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel, including advanced modeling. Strong influence, negotiation and relationship‑building skills. Experience evaluating, executing and managing contracts with external parties. Understanding of airline operations and supplier ecosystem (Tech Ops, Ground Ops, Maintenance). Excellent verbal and written communication, with exposure to senior executives and external audiences. Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast‑paced environment and adapt to evolving business needs. Demonstrated integrity, respect, diversity, innovation, ethical standards and commitment to teamwork. Proven leadership with the ability to train, develop and manage teams efficiently.
