Qualifications & Experience:

• Current certification as Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
• Valid state licensure in Ohio or ability to obtain
• Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to design and implement treatment plans under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
• Skilled at managing a caseload with diverse needs and adapting interventions accordingly

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct occupational therapy services to students as outlined in their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Collaborate closely with occupational therapists, teachers, and other school staff to support students participation in school activities
• Document therapy sessions and student progress in compliance with school and state regulations
• Assist in the evaluation process by gathering data and observing students in classroom and therapy settings
• Engage with families and caregivers, offering guidance and updates on students goals and achievements
• Contribute to classroom environments with recommendations for adaptive equipment or strategies that encourage student independence
