What you will do: Qualified and willing to float throughout the hospital and/or throughout multiple hospital locations and/or regions Knows, understands, incorporates & demonstrates standard elements of professional practice: Assess, Outcomes Identification / Solutions, Plan, Implement, Evaluate Acts independently & appropriately within scope of knowledge & experience in practice area Retains accountability for delegation, choices, decisions & outcomes Collaborates with key stakeholders & contributes to quality & improvement practices & outcomes Exhibits agility & willingness to take on new & additional responsibilities Embraces new ideas & cultural differences while managing competing priorities Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent is required. Successful completion of a surgical technologist training program is required. Eighteen (18) months of scrub tech experience in an acute care operating room may substitute for the training program requirement. Two (2) years of acute surgical technologist experience is required. One (1) year of the experience must include at least two (2) specialty areas (i.e., orthopedics, neurosurgery, robotics, etc.). Required to have and maintain BLS through American Heart Association. Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification issued through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) is preferred. Cannot hold a concurrent position at a Trinity Health facility. Ability to complete the orientation and training. We have different options to choose from that will meet your schedule.
