Job Overview A law firm seeks a Tax Associate for its Houston, TX office. The ideal candidate will have at least four years of experience in complex federal transactional tax matters, including business entity formations, mergers, acquisitions, and reorganizations. Responsibilities Advise clients on federal transactional tax matters. Assist with business entity formations, mergers, and acquisitions. Provide guidance on state and local tax issues, including income, franchise, sales, and use tax. Requirements Active bar license in the corresponding state or commitment to obtain one. Experience with non-profit and for-profit clients preferred. Education Juris Doctor (JD) degree required. Certifications Active bar membership in good standing. Skills Proactive and dynamic approach to legal practice. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
