Paralegal

Conduct advanced legal, regulatory, and administrative research. Edit, proofread, and format legal documents, reports, and official correspondence. Assist with drafting, revising, and maintaining documents related to the New Mexico Administrative Code (NMAC). Coordinate and manage special projects from planning through completion. Analyze complex issues and recommend solutions. Work collaboratively with program staff and information technology personnel on project initiatives. Provide program analysis, planning, and consultation services. Maintain accurate records and documentation. Communicate effectively with internal staff, external stakeholders, and customers. Operate independently while ensuring compliance with established procedures and standards. May assist with deposits and cash transactions, as assigned. Support the agency's mission through proactive customer service and professional interactions. Requirements Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, Criminal Justice, Public Administration, or a related field preferred. Paralegal certificate required. Minimum of 3 years of paralegal or comparable professional experience. Experience editing and formatting legal, regulatory, or government documents. Experience working with or preparing documents for the New Mexico Administrative Code (NMAC ) is highly preferred. Project management experience preferred. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
