Step onto a fast-paced manufacturing floor where your welds become the backbone of structural steel assemblies. Your day blends craftsmanship with consistency as you transform prepared components into finished assemblies using MIG (GMAW) processes.

You review blueprints and weld symbols, plan your sequence, and dial in your machine for production work using .052 wire. You maintain 27–30 amps with wire speeds around 400–500, laying down clean, consistent beads on parts that have already been fit-up and prepared. From joists and I-beams to webbing, connection plates, stiffeners, and supporting brackets, you move methodically through each assignment, verifying fit and alignment while keeping pace with team targets.

• Execute production MIG welding with .052 wire at 27–30 amps and wire speeds around 400–500
• Interpret blueprints and weld symbols to plan and verify work
• Weld structural steel components: joists, I-beams, webbing, connection plates, stiffeners, and supporting brackets
• Complete welding on components that are already fit-up and prepared
• Deliver quality welds while meeting production goals
• Collaborate closely with a crew in a team-oriented environment

• Proven MIG welding experience in a production or structural steel setting
• Ability to read and apply blueprints and weld symbols
• Capability to pass 1G and 2G Unlimited Weld Test

• Fast-paced manufacturing setting
• Regular standing, lifting, and working around heavy steel throughout the shift
