About Samovar Lounge
Samovar Lounge offers a refined lounge experience featuring authentic Mediterranean and Afghan flavors, premium tea services, live entertainment, and exceptional hookah hospitality. We are seeking an experienced, passionate, and detail-oriented Hookah Technician to deliver high-quality, memorable experiences to our guests.
Key ResponsibilitiesPreparation & Craftsmanship: Masterfully prepare, pack, and light high-quality hookah heads using proper heat management techniques and premium coals.
Flavor Creation & Mixology: Develop unique, high-end custom flavor blends and make personalized recommendations based on guest preferences.
Team Leadership & Training: Onboard, mentor, and train junior lounge staff on hookah assembly, packing methods, coal safety, and flavor pairing.
Guest Service & Experience: Deliver warm, attentive customer service, perform routine table checks, manage coal rotations promptly, and maintain a seamless lounge atmosphere.
Quality & Station Maintenance: Maintain immaculate cleanliness and safety standards across the hookah prep station, bowls, hoses, bases, and tongs in compliance with health and lounge standards.
Inventory Control: Track daily supplies (shisha inventory, coals, bowls, tips) and report restock needs to management to ensure zero station downtime.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience as a Hookah Technician or Specialist in a high-volume lounge or restaurant environment.
Flavor Expertise: Deep knowledge of shisha brands, heat management, bowl types (phunnel, traditional, Egyptian), and creative mixology.
Training Ability: Strong leadership skills with proven ability to coach and upskill line staff.
Customer-Centric: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable engaging directly with lounge guests.
Efficiency & Stamina: Ability to operate calmly and quickly in a fast-paced environment during peak weekend and evening hours.
Reliability: Strong work ethic, punctuality, and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
