Senior Construction Materials Testing Technician

Goodwyn Mills Cawood (GMC) is one of the largest privately‑held architecture and engineering firms in the Southeast. GMC is seeking a Senior Construction Materials Testing Technician for our Huntsville , AL office. This is an opportunity to utilize experience within the engineering industry. Essential functions and responsibilities include Performing site observations of earthwork, utility backfill, excavations, foundation construction in addition to construction material testing and special inspections Collecting samples and performing tests to monitor compliance with construction specifications Traveling to job sites using company vehicles and interacting with Design Team, Building Officials, Contractors, and Clients Documenting inspections and testing activities electronically through an online database including testing logs, work items, and picture records Coordinating with Project Managers providing constant communication when on site Cleaning and maintaining equipment and vehicles in proper working order Performing other tasks directed by supervisor not specifically mentioned Minimum Qualifications 5+ years of experience ACI field concrete testing At least 2 ICC Certifications High School Diploma or equivalent education Must have a valid driver's license Clear Driving Record Additional Qualifications Radiation safety certification Construction Experience Proficient in Microsoft Office Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Veterans #J-18808-Ljbffr
