Application Architect

Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Architect for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Jacksonville, FL. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

This job is responsible for developing and delivering complex requirements to accomplish business goals. The ideal candidate will ensure that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements, and that solutions are well-designed with maintainability, ease of integration, and testing built-in from the outset. This role provides technical thought leadership and is accountable for end-to-end solution design and delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Code solutions and unit tests to deliver requirements per the defined acceptance criteria
• Design, develop, and modify architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers
• Mentor other software engineers and coach the team on CI/CD practices and automating the tool stack
• Execute story refinement, definition of requirements, and estimate work
• Perform proofs of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas
• Automate manual release activities and maintain automated test suites (integration, regression, performance)
• Deliver complex features and technology, enabling development efficiencies

Requirements:

• 5+ years of solid experience as a Software Engineer
• Experience in multiple frontend and backend languages (Python, Ansible, Java, and Bash scripting)
• Deep understanding of data structures and object-oriented programming principles
• Experience with relational databases like Oracle and MySQL
• Knowledge of application development methodologies and infrastructure
• Proficiency in executing Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) and delivering automated software testing
• Working knowledge of JIRA, Remedy, or ServiceNow
• Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills

Pay range: $60.24 - $68.24 per hour
