Team Leader - Criminal Justice Maternity Cover Job Reference: Job 0410 Location: Merton Salary: £40,399 per annum (including London Weighting where applicable) Vacancy type: Maternity cover (12 months beginning Monday 14 September 2026) Working hours: Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm with evening cover when needed Responsibilities Manage a team of Criminal Justice Recovery Practitioners and other Recovery Practitioners, coordinating delivery of criminal justice related pathways, treatment, satellite programmes, and partnerships. Act as a key member of the Merton leadership team, shaping and delivering high‑quality services across the locality. Provide leadership and support to staff, ensuring effective service delivery and continuous improvement. Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Qualifications & Skills Demonstrated compassion and excellent communication skills. Ability to stay calm under pressure, good listening skills, curiosity, and a genuine desire to make a difference. Experience in a leadership or supervisory role within a criminal justice or related setting is desirable. Benefits Fixed term/Full time role on a 12‑month maternity cover basis.
