Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical conditions by administering various range of motion, muscle, neurological, visual, or functional tests, ensuring a comprehensive evaluation of their needs.
• Develop customized treatment plans that align with patient goals and physician recommendations, regularly adjusting based on patient progress and feedback.
• Deliver hands-on physical therapy using a variety of techniques including manual therapy, corrective exercises, and modalities such as heat, light, and sound.
• Educate patients and their families about self-care practices, home exercise programs, and compliance with therapy recommendations.
• Collaborate with physicians and other practitioners as a consultant on effective treatment strategies, physical function assessments, and necessary precautions for patient safety.
• Oversee the implementation of therapy provided by non-professional staff, ensuring high standards of care are maintained at all times.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily focus on patients in their homes who require rehabilitation due to orthopedic injuries, neurological disorders, or post-surgical recovery. You will develop a rapport with a diverse patient population, tailoring your approach based on each individual's age, physical capabilities, and specific rehabilitation goals. This role not only demands technical skills but also a depth of empathy and interpersonal communication.

Qualifications

• A Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution is required.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in California is mandatory.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in orthopedic physical rehabilitation is expected.
• An unblemished professional record with no disciplinary actions against your license is essential.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques and a solid grasp of developing effective exercise regimens.

Preferred Experience

Experience working within a home care setting and dealing with geriatric populations is a plus. Familiarity with telehealth practices and technologies is also desirable, as this may complement our service delivery. Skills in using electronic health records (EHR) and other documentation systems are beneficial for maintaining accurate patient data.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 110,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
