staff - Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor and Delivery - $35-60 per hour

Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery Stafford, Texas Full‑time position, staff employment, 36 hours per week. 12‑hour shifts, days or nights. Job Summary Collaborates with physicians and the healthcare team to deliver patient care using the nursing process. Provides professional nursing care, performs nursing assessments, assists with exams, delivers patient education, and maintains medical records. Minimum Qualifications Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing (Bachelor’s preferred). Current State of Texas license or temporary/compact license to practice professional nursing. Certification in Basic Life Support. RN experience levels: RN I Principal Accountabilities Delivers safe and appropriate care to patients, according to nursing skills inventory and patient needs. Coordinates planning and delivery of nursing care with an interdisciplinary team, administering appropriate clinical decisions. Collaborates with, directs, and may delegate to the healthcare team to achieve positive outcomes, based on data, research, and professional standards. Coordinates treatment plans; develops and implements discharge and/or transfer plans. Participates in ongoing evaluation of programs and process improvement initiatives, focusing on client‑centered outcomes. Considers the diverse needs of each patient throughout the continuum of care, providing the highest level of service per established standards. Adheres to all regulatory and Texas Board of Nursing standards. Ensures safe care for patients, staff, and visitors; adheres to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards within budget, time, supply management, and productivity expectations. Promotes professional growth by meeting mandatory/continuing education and skills competency requirements; supports department goals and may serve as preceptor, mentor, or resource to less experienced staff. Demonstrates commitment to caring for every community member by providing compassionate, personalized experiences. Other duties as assigned.
